Independer is The Netherlands’ leading comparison website for a wide range of financial products - like insurances, mortgages and energy contracts. Over the past year, I've worked with the team on redesigning the funnel for comparing and closing health insurances.
Battle-tested in the most hectic weeks
Only in the last six weeks of the year, the Dutchies can change how they're insured for healthcare. The new design is released via a staged-rollout to ensure the best user experience while maintaining the conversion rate.
A revamped hero helps users to quickly get started.
The AI 'Help mij kiezen' guides user though dificult decisions.
Users will find personalized information in the product cards.
A clear and concise detail page helps to make a well-informed decision.
Boosting conversion with the improved mobile experience
While mobile accounted for 60% of the traffic, laptops and desktops were responsible for 60% of product sales. The new design greatly improves the mobile experience. Even the most complex tasks - like comparing multiple products - are easier by utilizing smart hints and gestures.
Blueprint for Independer's big 4 products
The refreshed design is set to be a blueprint for Independer's main products: health, energy, car and home insurance. But it doesn't stop there. The flexible components allow to adapt and expand to other products and initiatives in the future.

Prototyping complex interactions
To validate and test complex the interactions, I created an interactive prototype using Nuxt/Vue. This allowed us to gather feedback from users and stakeholders early in the design process, ensuring that the final product met everyone's needs.
